Asbestos and Eternit removal, turnkey

From the site inspection to final disposal, we take care of everything: paperwork with the local health authority (ASL), safe removal, authorised transport and disposal. And if needed, we replace the roof.

What we do

  • Site inspection and survey of asbestos-containing materials
  • Analysis of samples (MOCF or SEM) to find out whether asbestos is present
  • Preparation and submission of the work plan to the local health authority (ASL)
  • Removal, encapsulation or enclosure of sheets, flues, tanks and vinyl-asbestos floors
  • Transport and disposal at authorised facilities, with a waste transfer form (FIR)
  • Roof replacement with new materials

Who it's for

  • Private customers: canopies, garages, sheds, flues
  • Apartment buildings
  • Farms and industrial sheds
  • Public bodies

Our authorisations

  • Registered with the Italian National Register of Environmental Operators (Albo Gestori Ambientali) no. MI03807
  • Category 10B – remediation of items containing asbestos
  • Category 5 – transport of hazardous waste
  • Staff trained in accordance with asbestos regulations, with health surveillance
How long does it take? The work plan must be sent to the local health authority (ASL) at least 30 days before work starts (except in urgent cases). Call us in good time: the sooner you contact us, the sooner we can start.

How we work, step by step

  1. Site inspection and assessmentWe check the materials and their condition using the criteria of Ministerial Decree 6/9/1994 and tell you whether it is best to remove, encapsulate or enclose them.
  2. Sampling and analysisIf it is not certain that the material contains asbestos, we take a sample and have it analysed in a laboratory (MOCF, SEM or FTIR).
  3. Work plan to the ASLWe prepare the work plan and send it to the local health authority (ASL) at least 30 days before work starts. In urgent cases the timescale is shorter.
  4. Setting up the siteWe cordon off the area, install fall protection and our operatives work in suits and masks suitable for asbestos.
  5. Encapsulation and removalBefore handling the sheets we treat them with a coloured encapsulating product, then remove them whole, without breaking them and without using tools that create dust.
  6. Packing and transportThe sheets are wrapped in polythene sheeting labelled "asbestos" and taken, with a waste transfer form (FIR), to an authorised facility.
  7. CompletionWe clean the area, carry out monitoring where required and give you the paperwork and a copy of the waste transfer form (FIR) with the weight recorded at the destination.

The laws to comply with

Law 257/1992
Bans the extraction, production and sale of asbestos and sets out how to manage asbestos already present in buildings.

FAQ

How can I tell if my roof is made of Eternit?

We carry out a site inspection and, if needed, take a sample for laboratory analysis. That way you know for certain what you have and how to deal with it.

Can I remove a small Eternit sheet myself?

No. Asbestos removal must be carried out by a company registered with the Albo in category 10, with a work plan and traceable disposal. Doing it yourself is dangerous to your health and punishable by law.

How much does Eternit removal cost?

It depends on the quantity, access and type of material. After the site inspection you receive a clear free quote, with the work plan and disposal already included.
