Water and sewer network mapping: finally know where your pipes run

Before digging, renovating or applying for a connection: we reconstruct the route of sewers and pipes with a CCTV survey and tracing from the surface, and give you an up-to-date plan of the network.

What we do

  • Survey of manholes, covers and gullies, including covered or forgotten ones
  • CCTV survey of pipes with a camera, including robotic cameras, with photos and video
  • Tracing the route of the pipes from the surface, so you know where they run before digging
  • Approximate diameters, materials and depths of each section
  • Checking connections and the separation between surface (rain) water and foul water
  • Fault detection: breaks, roots, blockages, reverse gradients and infiltration
  • Water networks: route of the water pipes, meters and valves, with leak detection
  • Network plan with manhole sheets, photos and recommended work

Who it's for

  • Apartment buildings and building managers: networks never documented, upcoming works, leaks between properties
  • Builders and designers: knowing what is underground before digging
  • Businesses and industrial buildings: drainage plan for permits and inspections
  • Hotels, campsites and marinas: extensive networks that have grown over the years
  • Municipalities and public bodies: updating gully and sewer networks

The documents you receive

  • Network plan in PDF, editable format on request
  • CCTV survey report with images and video
  • Manhole sheets with location and photos
  • Technical report on the condition of the network and recommended work
Prices: CCTV drain survey from €300 (minimum 3 hours), technical report €50. Full mapping is quoted after the free site inspection, based on the size of the network. Message us on WhatsApp +39 019 690774 or message us on WhatsApp +39 019 690774 or call Freephone 800 015 576 (from Italy).

How we work, step by step

  1. Free site inspectionWe look at the area, gather any drawings you already have and work out what needs mapping.
  2. Opening and cleaning the manholesIf pipes and manholes are blocked, we first clean them with the vacuum tanker so the camera can see everything.
  3. CCTV survey and tracingThe camera travels along the pipes; from the surface we follow its route and mark where the pipes run.
  4. Survey and measurementsWe record manholes, diameters, materials, connections and faults, section by section.
  5. Plan and reportWe give you the network map with photos, sheets and recommended work, in order of priority.

The laws to comply with

Legislative Decree 152/2006 (Italian Environmental Code), Part III
Discharges must be managed and authorised so that they do not pollute soil and water: knowing your own network is the first step.
Presidential Decree (D.P.R.) 59/2013 (AUA)
Businesses applying for or renewing a discharge permit normally need an up-to-date plan of the network.
Water utility operator's regulations
For connections to and changes to the public sewer, the operator usually requires a drainage plan.
Legislative Decree 18/2023
In buildings open to the public, the risk from the internal water system must be assessed: knowing its layout helps you do this properly.
Legislative Decree 81/2008 and Presidential Decree (D.P.R.) 177/2011
Manholes and tanks are confined spaces: work is done only by qualified companies with trained staff.

FAQ

Do floors need to be broken up or dug?

No: we work from the existing manholes with the camera and follow the route from the surface. Digging is only needed if you then decide to repair a section.

How long does it take?

It depends on how large the network is and how many manholes are accessible: we give you a precise answer after the site inspection.

Do I need it even if I have no drainage problems?

Yes, if you need to carry out work, sell or apply for a permit: an up-to-date map avoids blind digging, damage to pipes and disputes.
