How to recognise them
Silverfish
A fast, silvery insect that loves damp places: bathrooms, cellars, behind tiles. It damages paper and cardboard.
Brown marmorated stink bug
Brown and shield-shaped; in autumn it comes indoors in large numbers to overwinter.
Spiders and centipedes
Usually harmless, but in large numbers they point to damp or the presence of other insects.
